Softpedaling admissions of guilt in Gaza
Times downplays the big lie supporting the genocide in Gaza
Once again, the headline writers at The New York Times downplay their own story about Israel’s admission of guilt in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, even when country’s own military reports there is no proof of the government’s claims that Hamas steals aid from UN food deliveries. Despite the weak headline, the story lays out the facts pretty clearly along with the implications of the big lie.
The headline the Times published merely repeats the main finding — while the subhead even repeats the lie — and omits the implications and declaring who is lying still (Israeli officials dispute the report from their own military, the Times reported).
Thank you to Mehdi Hassan’s report on Zeteo — Debunked! Israel’s Top 10 Lies on Gaza — for alerting me to the Times story.s
