Times headlines normalize making policy based on lies, as Trump administration fights war on science and knowledge
By omitting context, Times headlines again let Trump frame the issue without pointing out that — once again — people will die as a result of his actions
The Times once again is writing headlines that normalize incendiary decisions as if there are no lives at stake.
Despite some important investigative pieces the newspaper publishes — the expose on the Tate Brothers, for example — but their front-page news coverage of the Trump administration often has headlines that normalize unprecedented decisions as if they weren’t anything out of the ordinary.
The Times must do better if it wants to recover its reputation as the nation’s paper of record.
